Title: Severe Problems on 3+ Disk Partition

Previous to 3+ 1.3.1, there was a problem in the way CIOSYS 1.2.1 and
older allocates the FAT table to EMS and the size of server partitions
which can cause overwriting of memory pages. This can occur on on any
server--PC type, 3Server(3), 3S20x and 3S40x--and will cause data
corruption and unrecoverable data loss.

This has been seen on servers which have been reformatted with
partition sizes that differ from the defaults that are shipped on
3Com servers. For the current time, therefore, the only supported
format configurations will be those that are shipped from 3Com.
Any variations from these defaults can cause data loss and corruption.

If you have been using non-standard partition sizes without problems,
you probably will not have this problem, and should not be required
to change formats. You will, however, be using unsupported partition
sizes.

Customers who are having data corruption and data loss problems
should reformat with default partition sizes and restore their
data from diskette or tape.
