Title: Possible Cause of DOS Error 71 Under 3+Open

DOS Error 71 means that a network request was not accepted for execution.

For example, a customer had 34 stations that were able to log on and do
approximately four network redirections (NET USEs) each, but the 35th
station was only able to do one network redirection. As soon as the 35th
station performed a second network redirection, that user would receive a
DOS Error 71 or existing stations would not be able to perform any more
network redirections.

By increasing the MAXCONNECTIONS= parameter in the server's LANMAN.INI file
from the default of 128 to 256, the error stopped occurring. Therefore, if
you receive this error, it may indicate that you should increase the server's
MAXCONNECTIONS resource.
