Title: Troubleshooting When Installing Services with 3SIS

When installing services such as LAN Vision, Internet, Name, or Mail,
an error may occur. To find out which installation function triggered
the error, note the number that appears on the left-hand side of the
screen display when the error occurs. It is the line number in the .INS
file of the function that triggered the error. Read the .INS file into
an editor and go to that line number to understand the function. You
will notice the .INS file has a .CMD format.

In addition, you may want to scroll to the Install section of the .INS
file and change "echo off" to "echo on."

Note: If the service is distributed on notchless diskettes,
make a diskcopy of the diskette before editing the .INS file.

After editing the file, run 3SIS again and try to install the service.
The install functions will now appear on the screen, showing you what
programs are being installed and what files are being copied. If the
installation process gives another error, you may then have a better
clue as to what went wrong.
