Question: I recently upgraded one of our networks from 3+Share 1.3.1
to 3+Open 1.1. Everything appears to be running fine, except that,
whenever there is a network access (such as logging on or writing to disk),
the speaker on the user's Compaq 286 computer "chirps." We are using Token
Link Plus adapter cards and the NBP and XNS protocols. Is there a way to get
rid of these "crickets" in our workstations?

Answer: Check the PATH used by these netstations. You may still be using
the MINSES program from 3+ instead of the MINSES program installed by 3+Open.
Even though these have the same name, they are NOT the same program.

The path to the 3+Open MINSES is {bootdrive}:\3OPEN\DOSWKSTA\LANMAN\DRIVERS,
where {bootdrive} can be replaced with A or C, depending on whether you boot
from a floppy or hard drive.
