Title: EtherBackup 2.4 bug

Note: The following fix has been incorporated into releases
2.4.1 and later. The following description applies only to EtherBackup
version 2.4 and earlier.

Bug description: Customer has installed 2.4 level software on a
new 3Server but has not yet registered the server. With the server
unregistered, he boots as normal server, logs in with
econsole, goes into EtherBackup menus, and attempts to
perform any operation that accesses the tape drive
(eg., identify tape, create tape log, erase tape, backup,
restore). His machine crashes immediately with

            RAM PER 1, BLK: F
on the LCD. He has gotten a parity error.

Cause: The 2.4 software sets up a software interrupt vector at boot
time whether or not the machine is registered, but later
aborts if the server is not registered. This leaves the
interrupt vector set up, but the handler for the interrupt is
no longer there. As soon as the menu system calls the
interrupt, the processor jumps to never-never-land.

Solution: Register the server before attempting to use EtherBackup
through the menus.
