Tips for configuring ports Com1 and Com2:

If you say ANY in the dial out path, the router will try Com1
first.  If it fails, it will try Com2 etc.,etc. If, however, you
designate a specific port, e.g., com2, in any one of the dial out
paths, that port is restricted and pulled from the ANY "pool".
The net effect of this is that only com1 is available. So if com1
is not working, your call cannot be completed.

If you have only one modem, this can be a problem.  If you have
only one modem, then you want all the Dial Out Routes to use the
Com port to which that modem is attached.  Therefore, don't
specify a COM port in the Dial Out Routes unless you specify the
same one in all the Dial Out Routes.  It is easier to simply
leave the default ANY in this case.
