Occasionally, 3Servers running 3+ will crash with an ETH TRAP 3308
message on the server's LCD. The "ETH TRAP" messages are issued by
the ETH*.SYS Ethernet MINDS driver for 3Servers running 3+.

Before the Ethernet driver processes a packet received from the network,
it looks to see if the packet is sound by checking the "magic number" stored
at the beginning of the packet's receive buffer. ("Magic numbers" are unique
bit patterns that are stored within data structures. An intact pattern
indicates that nobody has inadvertently written over the data.)

An ETH TRAP 3308 message shows that the magic number in the receive
buffer has been found to be NOT correct, indicating that the packet has been
corrupted. This can be caused by corrupt software on disk or on the
installation tape, a memory problem, a software bug, or other problems.
