  1.  Neat Design
     This is not really special effects. Only some neat design tricks
       1.  Door on top of lift
          This is also known as "Hallways that pass without holes in the floor"
       2.  Descending Stairs
  2.  SKY effects
     There are a lot of things to accomplish with the F_SKY texture, but this
     is of course just a matter of good design.
       1.  SKY Door
       2.  SKY Windows
       3.  SKY at Floor
       4.  SKY Everywhere
       5.  Low Buildings in Courtyard
       6.  Non-repeating F_SKY
  3.  Special Effects
     This is the "real" special effects. Here you need to make sectors that
     aren't closed and other "illegal" stuff to be able to achieve the desired
     effects.
       1.  The Deep Water effect
       2.  Invisible Stairs
       3.  Invisible Lift
       4.  Non-convex Invisible Areas
       5.  The Transparent Door effect
       6.  The Solid Window effect

I've created a WAD that demonstrates most of these effects: special.wad.

If you want to find out how to make special effects with monster behaviour
without changing the DOOM exe, I suggest you read the RMB manual. I'm no expert
when it comes to DeHackEd special effects, so there is something for YOU to
write.
