The ZIPfile you've just extracted should contain:
AVLOGOFF.PPE - The PCBoard extension for PCB 15.2
  AVLOGOFF.TXT - This file - the manual
FRAME1.PCB through to FRAME13.PCB - These are the countdown frames
BOOM.PCB - The mushroom cloud, by Mr Krinkle.
OFFBBS.ADD - This is the logoff BBS advertisement by Mr Krinkle
DRMSTATE.EXE - Dreamstate BBS Ad. Apocalyptic Vision's Home Board.

Any other files are probably just BBS advertisements. All files included
in the original file were virus free when I tried them, but who knows, if
Jupiter is aligned with Mars and Bill Gates has frowned at you, it might just
blow up anyway. Any complaints and abuse should be directed at Microsoft, as
it's probably their fault anyway. Neither I or AV accept any responsibility.

 What is AVLOGOFF.PPE?
 ---------------------
It's an addition for PCBoard 15.2. It replaces the normal autologoff
message with a cute little ansitised picture of a city being hit by a nuke
(complete with 10 second countdown in the corner of the screen).

 How do I install AVLOGOFF.PPE?
 ------------------------------
AVLOGOFF.PPE was compiled using PPLC v3.0, therefore this PPE will only
work with PCB 15.2. If you don't have 15.2, it's time to upgrade }8-)
You'll need a working version of PCB for this one - just load up your copy
of MKPCBTXT.EXE, and use it to open up PCBTEXT.
Assuming you're using a stock standard PCBoard directory setting, you'd need
 to type: MKPCBTXT C:\PCB\GEN\PCBTEXT
Go to prompt #493. It will most probably just be the normal "Goodbye in 10
seconds" one. Replace it with: !C:\PCB\PPE\AVLOGOFF.PPE
This assumes AVLOGOFF's path is C:\PCB\PPE. If it's not, just replace that
section with the actual path. All files from the original ZIPfile should be
in the same directory as AVLOGOFF.PPE - put them in different directories and
it will most probably die on you.

 Customising AVLOGOFF
 --------------------
Yes, AVLOGOFF can be customised. You can change any of the countdown
screens, and the BBS advertisement for the logoff. I don't recommend you change
the countdown screens, but it'll probably make more sense if you don't have
an add for Dreamstate as your BBS logoff message.
To Change the Logoff Ansi: The logoff ansi is OFFBBS.ADD - if you rename any
ansi file to this name and then place the new OFFBBS.ADD in AVLOGOFF's
directory, then AVLOGOFF will load this file instead of the Dreamstate ad.
To Change the Countdown Ansi's: Not recommended, but all you need to do
is alter the files FRAME1.PCB through to FRAME13.PCB. You'll need to alter
every one of them. The PPE loads them (in order, from 1 through 13), every
second (approximately) as it goes through the countdown. The exception to this
is frame 12, which is just pure white (the explosion) and only lasts for a
fraction of a second. They were created as PCBoard files in Thedraw, but as
long as you keep the exact filenames and extensions, there's no reason why you
couldn't use normal ansi files instead. The reason I recommend you don't change
them is that frames 2 through to 11 are just the changing numbers. The cursor
is automatically position at position 1,21 at which point it draws the new
number. If you inserted a @CLS@ command, you could clear the screen and have
completely different ansi screens. Originally, this was how I did it, however
the refresh rate (even at 14.4k) is so slow that you don't manage to get the
entire screen printed properly (possibly if you used an ANSimation, instead of
 PCBoard files?).

 What is Apocalyptic Visions?

Apocalyptic Visions is an ANSi/VGA art group based out of Dreamstate BBS
in Melbourne, Australia. We're only a new group (2 packs out and a 3rd
expected on Feburary 1st (we hope)), and this is both mine and AV's first
excusion into PPEs, or coding of any sort. Oh well, we all need to broaden
 our horizon's sometime.

Oh, I can be contacted on Dreamstate BBS. Current number enclosed in the
OFFBBS.ADD file, but it'll be going down for a while around march, so if its
March of 95 or later, it'll be an old number. Sorry, don't know the new one
yet. With a bit of luck, you should be able to contact me via internet e-mail
