 Unexpected and unknown... that's how I describe a Japanese CD single I 
 picked up on Ebay, from a group called "O'Ryan". It was cheap, being 
 sold amongst a whole lot of other hard rock and melodic rock, so I 
 figured "why not?" Imagine my surprise when I actually heard the 
 darned thing. It turns out that O'Ryan is the name of a solo project 
 of Wishbone Ash's lead vocalist Mervyn Spence. They've released two 
 albums (which I now need to track down). The CD single I got is from 
 1995, from an album entitled "Initiate". I've picked two tracks from 
 that single to showcase this week: A Whole Lot of Love (6.3 MB) and 
 Still the Night (4.2 MB).
