 This thread has given me a good laugh. I especially like the part where SNA 
 makes all sorts of claims about PVC (she can flame, her style is to "wade 
 in, gob off and leave when obviously out-manoeuvred", and she is a typical 
 Yank) then admit to being completely in the dark about who she is (and most 
 likely, most other things in life). Any fool can start a flame war on 
 Usenet - and it appears any fool has. 
  
 Out of interest SNA, from which group (from the many this is cross-posted 
 to) are you posting this drivel? I'd just like to check your claim that you 
 "never leave a thread" on your newsgroup of preference. I am co-authoring a 
 research paper on people who, through inadequacy in their own lives and a 
 fear of death, feel the need to leave their permanent mark on Usenet so that 
 generations from now, their descendants can look back and see just how tough 
 good old Great Aunty Joan was online, even if she was a bit of a spineless 
 twat in real life.
