I was kind of being facetious as obviously whatever they
are they wouldn't refer to themselves as "Sea Devils"...
BUT, to us [in-universe] they are "Sea Devils" as that's
what they have always been called... and we are not all
biology professors.
Homo Aqua just sounds stupid.
