Plus that nit in the 5 doctors > 2->3 There was a nit in the 5 Doctors? Think I missed that. In "The Five Doctors", Troughton and the Brig meet up with apparitions of Jaimie and Zoe, warning them to turn back. The Doctor realizes that they must be illusions because after he was tried by the Time Lords and sentenced to Earth, the Time Lords wiped Jaimie and Zoe's memories of their time with him, so they wouldn't recognize him. Now, given that that was the END of Troughton's tenure, Troughton's appearance in The Five Doctors must have been from some time prior to his trial in The War Games. So how can he remember it? There's a bit of fanwank that suggests there was a "Season 6b", where the Doctor did work on behalf of the Time Lords before arriving on earth as PertweeDoc. This makes absolutely no sense from a dramatic point of view, but it does help explain the inconsistency introduced in The Five Doctors. -R --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
