The Pulfrich effect.
A pendulum moving left-right-left appears to be travelling in a circle
as movement in one direction is projected towards, and the other way
from, the observer.
Can happen without a filter in an individual who has had nerve damage in
one eye, for example due to multiple sclerosis.
