you can't say reality Tv is a fad and of the moment anymore...MTV's been
doing it since 1990, FOX in the Us has been doing it since the 80's and
everyone in the world has been doing it en masse for at least the last 6
 years.

with the exception of CSI and Friends reality TV show have been the higest
rated consistantly over the last 6 years with shows like Survivor,
Apprentice, Big Brother and American Idol. Here in the UK it's soaps which
are the exception and when channel 4 and ITV are getting about 10million
viewers combined for their head to head reality shows, I'm a Celeb, Pop
Idol, etc etc are all hitting double digits in the ratings I dont see how
anyone can claim it to be a fad. It's here and it'll be staying for a
while...hell if you think Big Brother will look dated on DR Who you'r way
off considering the show is on it about 50 countries and they have a
contract with C4 here in the uk till about 2011.
