 if you read the press releases carefully it clearly wasnt planned at the 
 start 
  
 in fact just read the one someone posted here earlier the comments 
 clearly indicate that they knew Billy was going but didnt expect CE to be 
 going too. 
  
 personally i think it was bad form on his part. (not to mention a 
 disaster for scriptwriters so clearly into character driven stories)
