 something? Perhaps that the Doctor had changed appearance? I thought you

 listing the regenerations and any direct witnesses (though I have no idea 
 why), 
 and nobody, except a Tetrap, directly witnessed a dodgy video effect masking 
 Sylvester's impression of Colin being unconscious.

 Why? At no point in Rose does anyone say anything about the Doctor being the 
 9th 
 Doctor, or even that he directly follows. Russell T Davies has said it, but

 If you're referring to the single throwaway line about Eccleston's ears, 
 well, 
 that's ambiguous. Perhaps this is the first time he's seen himself in a 
 mirror-
