 My wife's car is in my name.  This will lead to a complication when I 
 die so I want to get it into her name.  The current car tax expires on 
 the 31st August. 
  
 I can't quite follow the procedure which I would want to do on-line. 
  
 Is it as simple as transfer the car on 31st Aug and tax the car in her 
 name on 1st Sep?  I don't want to end up having to pay August's tax 
 twice. 
  
 Will SORN be involved?  There is no problem having the car off the 
 road overnight Mon 31st/Tue 01st?
