 Had Jimmy Savile only said "Clunk Click Every Trip" to the children and 
 young 
 teenagers ( no corpses presumably ) he took for rides in his Rolls Royce,

 nobody else would ever have heard the phrase.

 No; it was necessary to "advertise" the phrase; in order to present that 
 information to large numbers of people. 
  
 Just as on a lesser scale, it could be said 
  
 "With almost every post they make, X simply advertises the fact, that

 Which  appears to strongly support the claim that - 
  
 "Only 50% or advertising is ever effective"
