I see the clown show continues with (at least) inmates being released by
 mistake in the past week.

Mildy curious as to whether a prisoner releaed by mistake, who *knows*
itr is a mstake (I mean if you are in for 5 years and are told after a
week "Get your coat, you're out") do they commit any offence.

Is there an offence of "freedom by finding" ?

Presumably if it's no one elses fault (which is how the inquiry will
rule) then it must be the prisoners.
