 I wonder whether you actually understood my meaning. 
  
 I was not claiming that those things would be acceptable. Only that 
 there are also other, countervailing forces in our lives. 
  
 But a moment's reflection should make you re-examine the position you 
 described. Many murderers are nowadays eventually released from custody. 
 Are they "unclean" and unworthy of ever having meaningful human contact, 
 even with family and former friends? 
  
 Don't misunderstand me - I'd certainly say "Yes" about some of them, but 
 then, they wouldn't be anyone to whom I was related or with whom I'd 
 been a friends since primary school or university.
