 Anyway thank you for giving me the opportunity to mention the  Fourth 
 and Fifth imporant reasons for the US's *continuing* support of Israel 
 down the years. 
  
 Which I'd somehow failed to mention. 
  
 The fact that Israel has always been totally opposed to tne Soviets 
 and Commies in general; and would be a bulwark against growing Soviet 
 influence in the Middle East. 
  
 So that as a result, as Todal has noted Israel is a safe and 
 reliable customomer for US arms exports.
