Around 1960, I remember seeing scrawled on a brick wall (in white paint
with letters about 4' high): "God bless Sir Oswald Mosley. Keep Britain
white". Not particularly anti-semitic, but I also remember seeing
swastikas scrawled in poublic places. It was all in block capitals of
course.
There was some media publicity at about the same time about someone
called Colin Jordan, who I think was an organiser.
But even apart from that sort of semi-organised stuff, there was still a
recognisable residual anti-Jewish attitude in Britain among the older
generations, though it was certainly fading. It was normal to hear
(overhear) the term "Jewboy" from people you might have thought more
measured than that.
