That's (mostly) ancient history, and more than compensated by the
murderous behaviour of the state of Israel since it was created.

Apparently Balfour was (to some extent) motivated by antisemitism and a
desire to remove Jews from Britain, like (some) Germans before WW2.
(Palestine was one German suggestion, together with Madagascar.)

I think it would be better if the word "antisemitism" was removed from
the English language. (It's never been clear whether it's based on race,
religion or whatever.)
Maybe people wouldn't be so keen to claim Jewishness.
