 I am happy to report that I have received a response from CVS, 
 and they appear willing to compensate me the cost of my car 
 being towed from their lot. They claim that the property is not 
 theirs but is rented by them, and the towing service works for 
 the property owner. They concede that the actions of the towing 
 company were "overzealous." 
  
 So, Phil, rms1, and all you other apologists for corporate greed 
 and bullying, there's a lesson in this for you. Regarding your 
 disparaging remarks about my lack of responsibility, I'll be 
 laughing at you all the way to the bank when my check from CVS 
 arrives! 
  
 No doubt none of you would have fought as I did, and you would 
 be all the poorer for it - not just financially, but in valuable 
 self-esteem.
