No, it's not wrong all of a sudden!
What is there about the idea of religious freedom
that you can't seem to grasp? Do you really want
to be forced to celebrate passover? Or would
you like to keep the option to do so if you chose?
Do you understand that all citizens tax dollars
go into paying for a tree that celebrates the
religious beliefs of a few major religions?
Do you really think that it's wise to force
others, who do not share your beliefs, to
honor your religious ceremonies? Or would
you rather that they be allowed to practice
as they choose just like yourself?
And what is the problem? What you and
your family choose to call the tree is not
being impacted. Just because it's "Officially"
an expense for a "Holiday Tree", does not
mean that you have to call it anything you
do not want to! So what is the impact on you?
Other than having the state more fastidiously
observe the principles necessary to maintain
religious freedom for all, there is no impact
on you personally at all. That is, unless you
believe that your own religion should be forced
onto others!
Easy to see that you're not aware of what
it means or takes to be a real American
Citizen and advocate for the rights we've
been given by our Founding Fathers! If
left you your devices we'd all be living under
a rigid totalitarian system pretty darned quick!
Say Phil, can I ask you what it is about
dictatorships that you find so attractive?
Or, if you can't explain that, then please
explain to us all, what you find so objectionable
about us all enjoying the freedoms and priviledges
granted us in our Bill of Rights/U.S. Constitution?
You seem to get in a snit everytime someone
or some group tries to remove impediments to
equal protection of law for all American Citizens.
