 Our client located in Midtown Manhattan is looking for a Sr. Informix 
 DBA to be responsible for maintaining large scale databases across 
 multiple Unix platforms and managing projects. Duties will include 
 building custom system performance metrics as well as developing APIs 
 with application developers. 
  
 You are required to have a minimum of 3 years experience as an 
 Informix DBA with expert level knowledge in Informix's backup/restore 
 utilities, a working knowledge of time-series databases and you must 
 have experience managing large databases with an efficient 
 distribution of information across multiple machines. You are also 
 required to have experience in VLDB environment; migrations in a 
 large, real-time OLTP environment; performance analysis and system 
 resource management; implementing data replication in high 
 transactional environments. You must be proficient in embedded SQL 
 programming using C/Unix. You must be proficient in a high level 
 language (C,C++,Java) and have excellent problem solving, analytical 
 and mentoring skills.

 The salary can go to $135,000 plus excellent benefits. This position
