 Our client located in Midtown Manhattan is looking for a Senior 
 Informix DBA to be responsible for maintaining large-scale databases 
 across Unix platforms and managing projects. Additional duties include 
 building custom system performance metrics as well as developing APIs 
 with application developers. 
  
 You are required to have a minimum of 5 years experience as an 
 Informix DBA, Informix's backup/restore utilities, a solid working 
 knowledge of time-series databases and experience in managing large 
 databases with an efficient distribution of information across 
 multiple machines. 
  
 Additionally, you are required to have extensive experience in VLDB 
 environments, data migration in large real-time OLTP environments, 
 performance analysis/system resource management, implementing data 
 replication in high transactional environments and a proficiency in 
 embedded SQL programming using C/Unix. Plusses would be: high level 
 programming languages, problem solving, analytical and mentoring. 
 The salary can go to $130,000 plus excellent benefits. The position is 
 bonus eligible. They will only consider LOCAL candidates and THEY WILL
