 The thread was initially limited to alt.thebird.copwatch, and it 
 was Morf himself who added the alt.law-enforcement, nyc.general, 
 and alt.true-crime crossposts to the Newsgroups line. And in the 
 same post, he says "In case you haven't noticed, this is copwatch".
