Yes, if countries were acting in a moral fashion then they
would have to do so. If the US really was concerned about
dictator regimes or stopping genocide or terrorism, then they
would have been cleaning up the Indonesian threats to the US.
BUT they DON'T, they claim to act in their vested interest.
That is also a lie, most countries really act in the vested
interest of their ruling class.
As Mr Parenti points out that's why the US had to invade
Yugoslavia, that's why it had to invade Iraq. Neither country
would allow US companies to buy national assets or businesses.
The US supported Saddam only so long as he was killing Iranians
as punishment for overthrowing the US shah there.
