Yep.
Never in my lifetime has the American electorate
had such a clear choice between good and evil
(even Nixon, mad as a hatter, was more grounded
in reality than the Texecutioner sitting in the
White House today).
In November, the voters get to choose between
a government that seized power by fraudulent
means, destroyed the economy, dreamt of
conquest while ignoring terrorist threats at home,
launched an illegal, imperialistic war, acted
blatantly to heap benefits on its wealthy supporters
to the detriment of common Americans, tried its
damndest to tear up the Bill of Rights and
throughout it all, lied, lied, lied and lied some
more, AND . . . a sane, moderate, former war
hero.
If Americans actually elect (for the first time)
George W. Bush, it'll be an unmistakable signal
that they prefer an immoral, dishonest, criminal
dictatorship over the alternative.
If they do, we'll see the rest of the world begin to
take action to protect itself from U.S. aggression,
and the U.S. sink into a nightmare from which it
won't recover in the foreseeable future.
Whatever happens, it will be interesting as hell.
