 I went to my local Rite-Aid to pick up a cheap item on sale for a dollar. A 
 sign on the shelf gave this price, and said the scanner at checkout would 
 only charge this amount. 
  
 Upon checkout, the scanner charged DOUBLE the price on the shelf sign! 
  
 I always watch for these SCAMS, and loudly told the man behind the counter 
 it was wrong. He claimed you needed to have a Rite-Aid card to get that 
 price. I went back to check the sign on the shelf, and returned to tell him 
 (loudly, for other customers to hear) that the sign said no such thing, but 
 did state the scanner would only charge the sale price, which was a LIE. 
  
 He must have been aware of this, as he immediately interrupted me to say 
 "I'LL GIVE YOU A CARD!" 
 He did, and I got the item for the price on the shelf, as the law requires. 
  
 Shoplifting is a crime, and this law is enforced. But WHO enforces the laws 
 against the deliberate cheating of retail customers? NO ONE! 
  
 I wouldn't advise shoplifting as a means of getting back at such crooked 
 stores as this Rite-Aid, only because you can easily get caught, but by all 
 means - BOYCOTT RITE-AID!
