 New York City's elitist billionaire mayor Bloomberg, his arrogance bouyed by 
 his defeat of democracy in the term limits affair, has again proven his 
 contempt for the average New Yorker. He seeks to raise funds by charging all 
 shoppers a fee for every plastic bag used to package their purchases. 
  
 This is clearly a tax that hits those that can least afford it the hardest, 
 but having no concept of the cares and lifestyles of the citizens he rules 
 over, what does Bloomberg care? As with his higher parking meter rates, he 
 will feel no consequences - or will he? He sabotaged term limits so that he 
 and his cronies can run for re-election again, even though the voters TWICE 
 rejected an end to term limits in the past. But that does not mean that 
 anyone HAS TO vote for him when his name appears on the ballot. 
  
 His policies and practices reveal Bloomberg to be a Republican-conservative, 
 even if he is not one officially. He favors the rich and influential, which 
 are a minority in New York. Come election time, we will remember his 
 disrespect and arrogance, and vote accordingly.
