Composer Philip Glass To Host Fog of War Screening During NYC Arts Festival
 September 2 in Tribeca

New York -World-renowned composer Philip Glass will introduce the Academy
Award-winning documentary THE FOG OF WAR for a special one-night-only
benefit screening on September 2, at Tribeca Cinemas at 7pm as part of the
Imagine Festival of Arts, Issues and Ideas.

Narrated by Vietnam War era Defense Secretary Robert McNamara, and with a
critically acclaimed score by Glass, The Fog of War examines the psychology
and reasoning of the government decision-makers who send men to war. In a
rare personal appearance, Mr. Glass will speak to his experience in scoring
 this film.

Proceeds from this screening will benefit the humanitarian work of Clear
Path International, which has landmine survivor assistance projects in
Vietnam, Cambodia and on the Thai-Burma border. Clear Path's largest
humanitarian effort, now in its fourth year, is in the provinces north and
south of the former Demilitarized Zone in central Vietnam, once known as
McNamara's Line. In this region, civilians are still killed or injured by
 unexploded ordnance weekly.

Kicking off two days prior to the Republican National Convention on August
28th, the six-day Imagine Festival will showcase concerts, performances,
cabaret, poetry slams, screenings, exhibits, panel discussions and
 large-scale street theater.

"In the present moment, the arts community will be an important alternative
to the usual pre-packaged opinion of our ubiquitous mass media. For the arts
community this is a tremendous opportunity as well as a personal
 responsibility,"- Philip Glass.

Tickets to the Fog of War screening are $20.00 and can be purchased at the
door or in advance on Clear Path International's website at
 http://www.cpi.org.

Tribeca Cinemas is located at 54 Varick Street (at Laight Street). Screening
 starts at 7pm, September 2.
