| Subj: Re: AVOID Using the US Postal Service! |
XPost: alt.snail-mail, nyc.general, alt.business XPost: alt.business.home From: howard.davis2xspam@worldnet.att.net I have skimmed through the venemous flames posted here in response to my well-justified criticisms of USPS service. It seems that the most immature, hostile, and ignorant of these come from present or former employees of the USPS. No surprise, and it certainly helps explain the "going postal" phenomenon. I pity the conscientious, responsible postal workers (and there are many) that have such people as these for co-workers or bosses. MY FATHER was a postal employee all his life. I recall, and know of through him, what the service was like back in the 1950s. The only direction it has gone since then is downhill, as opposed to the ever-increasing postal rates. I understand that those not living in New York, or perhaps more specifically in my area, may have far better service, but that does not help those locally that must depend on the postal service for business or otherwise. If UPS or FedEx were located more conveniently for me, I would ALWAYS use them in preference to the USPS for parcels. And thank God for e-mail! Don't go postal - go elsewhere! --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
