XPost: nyc.transit, nyc.politics, nyc.general From: ulmo@usenet.q.net " I don't know about others, but when I am woken up by one of those at " night, I lay there in bed and say to myself "oh, just drive *off* in " it already, damn you." I don't bother with calling the police. I actually took self defense against the lack of health the sleep and work effectiveness deprivation caused and would have caused, and ear injuries. NYC is full of loose cobble stones, bricks, etc.. I actually found this method very effective; higher incidence before defense, lower incidence after defense. However, I think a simple ordinance would be quite nice and effective to aid in such defense, preventing and avoiding the attacks in the first place. I welcome such sensible prevention. This is partially because the alarms are useless in the first place. If they were useful, it would be a more complex issue, but still important to solve. --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
