As you are reading this thread in detail, you must have seen the
post expressing the opinion that these "legal" carnappings are a
scam perpetrated through the collusion of property owners and
organized criminals. It is because of such narrow "the victim is
to blame" thinking as yours that they get away with it. Could
YOU be involved in such an enterprise, I wonder?
It would be sufficient to paste a note to the window of a car
that it is parked illegally, keep a record of violators' license
plate numbers, and only take such drastic action in cases of
several repeated offenses. It would be preferable to charge for
parking in a lot rather than using it as a trap run by
extortionist goons. Being intelligent (look up the word, I doubt
you know its meaning), I'm not the type to resort to vandalism,
but I sympathize with those so frustrated by circumstances that
they feel there is no alternative for obtaining justice.
