I agree that the cops are just doing their jobs, but to emphasize trivial
and victimless violations, and to selectively enforce these antiquated laws,
amounts to public harassment and abuse. Yes, the laws need to be changed,
but any decent and sensible person in government would not order the police
to do what they are doing now. And without such orders, any decent and
sensible cop would look the other way.
