  Since I am interested in the current political campaign season, 
 my first question = How quickly can alt.*.mod be set up ? 
  Obviously for the skillful a open alt.* can be instituted in 
 the shake of a lamb's tail. 
  A related authoritative post estimated 80 odd alt.*.moderated 
 ng's presently existing and noted that the process of ng creation on the 
 more formal Usenet hierarchies such as sci. & talk. & comp. etc. takes a 
 minimum of 2 months.
