| Subj: Re: what replaced usenet news? |
From: a@a.uk I find it annoying too, the way all the web forums seem to be trying to turn themselves into "social networking" sites. Whatever was wrong with just reading what people said? Since you're here, do you happen to know what's the current status of news.answers and the other *.answers groups? I do the FAQs for alt.astrology, and I'd like them to be included in *.answers. I've submitted them to news.answers and alt.answers several times, following the most recent submission guidelines I can find, but I haven't had any response. An alt.astrology user told me that the last news.answers moderator had died, but I don't know whether he was serious or not. (I've asked this in n.g.q before, but nobody happened to be there.) If not, can you think of any other group that might answer this question? -- Cheers, A. B. My e-mail address is zen177395 at zendotcodotuk. I don't check that account very often, so tell me on the newsgroup if you've sent me an e-mail. --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
