 You're not getting much response because you're in the wrong 
 group (I've crossposted this to news.software.nntp for you). 
  
 I'm having a little trouble figuring out what you're trying to 
 accomplish. 
  
 If you have restored old article files into the spool, but but 
 they aren't visible to clients, you need to rebuild the overview 
 database and possibly renumber the active file.  In current 
 versions of INN, this is most easily done with tdx-util.
