 I think comp.security used to be a catchall group then was split up into all 
 the other comp.security.* groups. So anything not fitting into them goes 
 into the .misc one. 
  
 It's just an old usenet group that was decomissioned, so some archives like 
 google mark it as such. It's inactive, kaput.
