 The only flags required by RFC-977, "Network News Transfer Protocol", 
 are "y" (posting allowed) and "n" (posting not allowed), but all 
 servers that I've used (INN, Dnews and whatever my ISP uses) include 
 "m" for moderated groups. 
  
 Maybe that's called for in a later RFC that I haven't run across.
