 Hello, 
  
 I understand that there are around 2,500 newsgroups within the UseNet 'Big 
 8' categories.  However, are the remaining 30,000+ newsgroups (I have 
 access to 33,000 but I suspect that there are many more) also considered 
 part of UseNet even though they are not part of the 'Big 8' or are they 
 referred to as newsgroups outside of UseNet?
