| Subj: Setting up new account |
From: dradams@lamar.colostate.edu We had a newsmail account that was set up by an employee who had recently left. Although there were three of us (including the employee who just left, who will be referred to as "employee A") who had access to the account. We are wanting to keep using the newsgroup, but the problem is this--About a month before emplyee A left, our other employee discovered that she was not receiving the messages that were posted, and yet I still was. Shortly thereafter, we decided to stop using the newsgroup. Now, one short month later, we have decided that it would be advantageous to use that newsgroup once again. The problem is that I am still the only one who is receiving the messages. Both her and I can post messages, but it only shows up on my account. We are unable to contact employee A, as she has moved out of state and has left no way of contacting her. Our only reasonable action is to create a new newsgroup. How do I do that? Or is there something we can do so that my co-worker will receive those messages on our existing newsgroup? We still do not know why she stopped receiving them to begin with. But that presents another problem. Employee A posted a huge majority of the messages, which can only be deleted by her. So, we have no way (that we know of) of "cleaning the slate". Is there a way we can use the same newsgroup and eliminate the existing posts without her? This would only be worthwhile if we could get my co-worker's email to receive the messages. --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
