Two additional thoughts:
Talk to your doctor before stopping the meds - you need to come off some
anti-depressants [especially SSRIs] by steps, like de-toxing. Your
doctor can tell you if your med is one of that type. And remember that
it took a while for you to get into the state you're in; you're not
going to come out of it overnight.
Set aside time for yourself, even if it's only an hour a week, to do
something that gives you pleasure: soak in a bubblebath, paint a
watercolour, write a poem, walk by a canal, play some music, ride a
bicycle, dig in a garden - whatever *you* like. Personally, I quite
like flying kites, and I don't care how silly I look - they're pretty
and non-polluting. And make that time absolutely sacrosanct, short of
the house catching fire. Make a point of having some fun! [from a Lou
Reed song]
Treat yourself kindly and with respect; after a while, so will others.
It works for me, anyway.
