 I think the most useful and simplest would be Terminal Service and/or Remote 
 Desktop. I am not sure what the official name is, but XP has built-in 
 support for working at home. You can connect to another system from nearly 
 anywhere else over the internet. I think the network at your work must be 
 Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server but I am not sure. I am nearly 
 certain that there is Terminal Services server software that must be 
 installed to support it. Otherwise it should be very useful and among the 
 best solutions for what you are asking to do.
