Each of the proposals started out looking very different from each other.
It was ulimately agreed that the common areas of the charters should be
uniform.
The three other groups were not originally proposed by the dSLR proposal
founders, Thad and Alan. The ZLR proposal was born as a result of the RFD
process..I know because it was my idea, and David (who was originally
against the proposal) joined me to write up the ZLR proposal. We submitted
it ourselves to NAN, as a separate proposal. Check the older RFD threads if
you are interested. The p&s group was originally a proposal for ultra-
compact digicams. The rangefinder grouo was born grom objections from a
Leica owner and many other parties in this discussion to keeping digital
rangefinders in the same group as the dSLR systems. The NAN team asked Thad
and the rest of us to merge all the proposals into a single RFD..and we did
it.
