Given that I had a gmail address that wasn't used in public get swamped
because spammers were running dictionary attacks on anything that had
ever been posted in front of an @ sign, I don't have any sympathy for
people who want Usenet to be what it was in 1989.
And I'd like a news reader which would send authentication to the mail
server I use, but like this news reader better than Hogwasher in other
ways. I could take the munge out of the current address and have this
be directly repliable -- it's my third working verizon address -- but
I'm curious to see if spammers are actively demunging addresses.
