 It was between the G5 or the Coolpix 5700 for me. The extra zoom range of 
 the Coolpix sold me, to be quite honest. Phil Askey's reviews were other 
 factors. He gave a "highly recommended" review to the 5700, but only a 
 "recommended" review to the G5.
